Whats the first horse/pony you ever rode? What breed/color/age/name etc. And by rode i mean had some control over not fair ground pony rides or just sitting on them.
Mine was a fairly elderly arab x australian riding pony called Gee. He was Flea Bitten Grey by the time i got to him but would have been a stunning pony when he was younger. He taught me all the basics at my riding stables. Including how to hit the dirt.

That is true. In California they don’t believe in blinkers. In LA many people don’t believe in brake lights, either.

Drivers everywhere need to learn this one.
No no, years of driving on Adelaide’s roads have taught me that this is all completely wrong.
To start with, it is completely unwise to leave a gap between you and the car in front… for one, some arsehole will attempt to get into your lane (it’s YOUR lane, how dare someone try to get into YOUR FUCKING LANE? The fucking nerve of some people…).
Secondly, you don’t leave a gap, because you need to gently “push” the driver in front of you along the road. This gentle encouragement keeps traffic moving smoothly, and is especially helpful during rain, fog, or any other road conditions which may discourage others from driving over the speed limit like they’re fucking supposed to.
Secondly, what the fuck is with the indicator lights? You mean you want to know what another driver is planning to do? Frankly, this is a huge breach of privacy… it’s none of your fucking business what I’m up to when I’m driving! And you should be paying attention anyway! The only time anyone should have any indication of what I’m doing is when I’m honking my horn at you… and that means get the fuck out of my way!

i found a nice close contact jump saddle im interested in trying out.. but its $1000 more if i want it in Havana Brown…and the practical side of me says that i should just aim for the black one…but Havana Brown does look all kinds of awesome..
Saddles
So i ride english. Ive not ever had a great deal of money to throw at saddles. So ive made do with whats been going around second hand. Often unbranded or already aesthetically damaged. They’ve all performed really well im not complaining. Its just recently, ive come across the means to purchase something new.
Im in the market for both a Dressage and a Jumping Saddle. I dislike the position a General Purpose Saddle puts the rider in so id rather have something for the specific task. I currently ride in a Bates Caprilli for dressage/flatwork. Its aesthetically damaged to the point where it would probably be best to regulate it to a beach saddle. Its comfortable but i would prefer a saddle with a lower cantle.
I currently have an no-name jump saddle. It serves a purpose but its the most uncomfortable thing to ever grace the earth lol. It has the benefit of being quite painful if your legs are too far back however. I like jump saddles that are close contact.
I was wondering if anybody had some suggestions of where to start my search? I know that i still have to try them out etc. But id like a starting point.
